Oprah Winfrey is bringing a new two-hour immersive production to the Las Vegas Sphere for four performances in April 2027.
Titled Oprah Winfrey’s AHA, the limited-run event will combine Winfrey’s live storytelling with music, poetry, film, visual art and sensory effects. The announced performers include Jacob Collier, Ocean Vuong, Ajeet and Wintley Phipps, supported by a creative team that includes composer Max Richter, artist Es Devlin and Moonlight screenwriter Tarell Alvin McCraney.
The project is scheduled for April 2, 3 and 4, 2027. Tickets start at $145, with general sales beginning September 25, 2026.
Winfrey has described AHA as the culmination of the ideas about purpose, self-discovery and human connection that she has explored throughout her television, publishing and live-event career.
AHA Will Run for Four Shows Over One Weekend
AHA is currently scheduled for four performances at Sphere:
- Friday, April 2, at 8 p.m.
- Saturday, April 3, at 8 p.m.
- Sunday, April 4, at noon
- Sunday, April 4, at 6 p.m.
The complete schedule is listed by Ticketmaster. Doors are expected to open 90 minutes before each performance.
The initial engagement is being promoted as a one-weekend-only event rather than a continuing Las Vegas residency. Winfrey told People that additional dates could be considered if the first four performances succeed, but no extension has been announced.
What Audiences Will Experience Inside the Sphere
AHA is not being presented as a conventional Oprah interview, motivational seminar or concert. Its organizers describe it as a visual and musical “symphony of senses” built specifically for the Sphere.
Winfrey will appear live throughout the approximately two-hour show. Music, original poetry, guided reflection, large-scale imagery and audience participation will be used to explore personal purpose, wonder and the connections people share.
People reported that the production will incorporate real images of the universe captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. Jacob Collier, who frequently turns audiences into improvised choirs, is also expected to make the crowd an active part of the musical experience.
The official Sphere event page warns that productions at the venue can include flashing imagery, intense lighting, loud sound, seat haptics, movement sensations, fog, scent and wind. Organizers have not yet identified which of those effects will appear during AHA, so they should not all be treated as confirmed elements of the show.
Oprah Has Assembled a Major Creative Team
Seven-time Grammy winner Jacob Collier will deliver a featured musical performance, while poet and novelist Ocean Vuong will contribute original poetry. Musician Ajeet and gospel singer Wintley Phipps are also among the confirmed performers.
Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter is providing musical direction and original music. The wider music team includes vocal director Jason White and electronic composer and producer Jon Hopkins.
McCraney, who won an Academy Award for co-writing Moonlight, is contributing to the show’s text. Original artwork will come from Es Devlin—whose credits include major productions for Beyoncé, Adele and U2—and the Plum Village Monks.
Ethan Tobman is directing the production, with Baz Halpin serving as producer. Both have worked on large-scale concert projects, including Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
Winfrey is an executive producer, while Live Nation is presenting the event. The complete sequence of performances and any additional surprise guests remain under wraps.
The Idea Began During U2’s Opening Sphere Concert
Winfrey developed the idea after attending U2’s opening-night performance at the Sphere in September 2023.
She said the venue’s wraparound visuals and immersive technology made her consider how the space could be used for more than a traditional concert. Her concept became an experience intended to help people reflect on their lives while feeling connected to thousands of others.
“Creating this experience has felt like the culmination of what I’ve spoken about and worked towards my entire life,” Winfrey said in the official announcement.
She has returned to similar themes throughout her career, including during the 25-season run of The Oprah Winfrey Show, through her book club, OWN programming, podcasts and previous speaking tours.
AHA can reasonably be described as one of Winfrey’s most technologically ambitious live projects. However, no production budget or official comparison with the audience size of her previous tours has been released, so “biggest” refers primarily to its creative and technical scale.
How Much AHA Tickets Cost
Standard tickets will range from $145 to $395, according to People. The general sale begins Friday, September 25, at 10 a.m. Pacific time through Ticketmaster, with an eight-ticket purchase limit.
Fans can register for presale access through AHALive.com. Registration does not guarantee that tickets will remain available when a presale opens.
Official hotel packages are being sold through Vibee. The packages include:
- A two-night stay at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
- A reserved seat or general-admission floor ticket
- A collectible laminate and lanyard
- Access to an AHA fan pop-up experience
Upgraded options may include additional benefits. Travelers should compare the full package price with the cost of purchasing a ticket and hotel separately before booking.
Sphere uses mobile entry, and children age 2 or older require their own tickets. There is no formal minimum age, although the venue recommends that guests under 18 attend with a parent or guardian.
What Remains Unknown About AHA
Organizers have confirmed the dates, showtimes, starting price, principal performers and creative team. They have not released a scene-by-scene program, a complete guest list or specific accessibility guidance for every planned sensory effect.
It is also unknown whether the show will be filmed, streamed or released after the Las Vegas engagement.
For now, AHA is a four-performance experiment designed around a venue Winfrey believes can deliver her familiar message in an entirely new form. If the experience connects with audiences, April’s engagement may become the beginning of a larger project rather than its only chapter.
