Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, reportedly named their first child Rose Bean Polansky, with documents cited by multiple outlets listing June 9, 2026, as the baby girl’s date of birth.

The details provide the clearest account yet of the couple’s privately managed arrival into parenthood. However, they did not come through an announcement from Gaga or Polansky. Neither parent has publicly confirmed the child’s name, birth date, sex or the additional claims surrounding the birth.

That distinction matters: the information is supported by document-based reporting, but it is not yet a personal confirmation from the family.

What the Reported Birth Record Reveals

TMZ first reported that a birth certificate identifies the couple’s daughter as Rose Bean Polansky and records her birth in Los Angeles on June 9. People subsequently reported obtaining documents containing the same name and date.

The matching reports make the basic information substantially stronger than an anonymous celebrity tip. Still, readers have not received the information directly from either parent, and the underlying certificate has not been publicly released in full.

Earlier reports had revealed only that Gaga and Polansky had welcomed their first child. Those stories emerged after the couple was reportedly seen with an infant, but initial coverage did not establish the child’s name, sex or exact birth date.

The birth-record reporting fills in those gaps while leaving the family’s deliberate silence intact.

Gaga and Polansky Have Not Made a Public Announcement

As of September 22, Gaga had not announced the birth on her official website or public social-media accounts. Polansky had not released a statement either.

People reported that representatives for the couple had not confirmed or commented on the child’s name or sex. There has also been no authorized baby photograph, personal message from the parents or explanation of how the name was selected.

This means it would be inaccurate to say Gaga herself “revealed” the name. A more precise description is that the name and birth date were reported from documents obtained by news outlets.

The couple’s status is less ambiguous. Gaga publicly identified Polansky as her fiancé during the 2024 Paris Olympics, after he proposed earlier that year. Their relationship began in 2019 and became public in early 2020.

Does the Name Rose Have a Lady Gaga Connection?

People cited an unnamed source who said Rose was inspired by “La Vie en Rose,” the Édith Piaf standard Gaga performed in A Star Is Born. Gaga also has a rose tattoo along her spine accompanied by the song’s title.

That makes the explanation plausible, but it remains source-based reporting rather than something Gaga or Polansky has confirmed.

The meaning of Bean is even less certain. The same source suggested that it may honor the late singer, activist and archbishop Carl Bean. His 1977 recording “I Was Born This Way” has frequently been discussed in connection with the cultural history surrounding Gaga’s own “Born This Way.”

The connection is meaningful, but “may” is the essential word. Until the parents explain their choice, claims about either name’s inspiration should not be stated as settled fact.

The Surrogacy Report Also Remains Unconfirmed

TMZ separately reported that the child was born through a gestational surrogate. Other publications repeated that information, but Gaga and Polansky have not addressed it publicly.

No reliable public statement establishes why the couple may have chosen surrogacy. Reports connecting that decision to Gaga’s health history are therefore speculative unless attributed to a named, authorized source.

Gaga has spoken openly about living with fibromyalgia and previously underwent surgery for a hip injury. Those facts do not give outsiders enough information to draw conclusions about her reproductive decisions.

The identity and personal circumstances of any surrogate should also remain private unless that person independently chooses to speak publicly.

Gaga Had Previously Spoken About Wanting Children

Although the new details remain unacknowledged by the couple, Gaga’s interest in motherhood is well documented.

During a 2019 appearance with NikkieTutorials, she included having babies among her goals for the following decade. In a 2025 interview with Elle, Gaga discussed a future involving herself, Polansky and their children. She said she wanted them to become their own people rather than feel obligated to follow her artistic path.

Those comments provide context for the reported birth without confirming any of its private details.

Sources subsequently told People that Gaga was happy and spending time away from public attention with the baby. Such descriptions remain anonymous-source accounts, however, rather than comments from the singer herself.

What Remains Private

Several important details have not been publicly confirmed by the parents:

  • The child’s name, sex and date of birth
  • The reported use of a gestational surrogate
  • The inspiration behind Rose or Bean
  • Whether Gaga and Polansky plan to share photographs
  • How the birth may affect their wedding or professional schedules

There is also no public reason to expect the couple to disclose more. Gaga has discussed her relationship with Polansky in selected interviews, but the pair have generally kept their home life separate from her public career.

For now, the most responsible conclusion is straightforward: reputable outlets have reported that documents identify Gaga and Polansky’s daughter as Rose Bean Polansky, born June 9. The parents themselves have not confirmed those details—and everything beyond the reported record should be treated with appropriate caution.
